The wood at the frame has darkened from handling and there is a dark spot by the inlet portion of the butt plate on the left flank. There are a few scattered light marks and a small unrepaired crack at the butt plate on the right flank. The butt stock has a semi-pistol grip the varnish looks to be original, though there are oddities to the texture, indicating a bit of solvent or some other material had come into contact with the stock at some point this resulted in some of the varnish having been lifted off of the wood. The forend has grooves for traction and shows a few faint compression marks. Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are a two piece walnut set with nice wood to metal fit and grain variation. The slide-step elevator base is marked from 1 to 5 for elevation adjustment.
